Sonali Thakker started her career at Star Television where she spent over 11 years in various functions from operations, to strategy to working on M&A deals and eventually ending up as the Executive Vice President of Organizational Development. She also has had oversight of the IT, legal, and Facilities function in various points in her career. She was the first Station manager of India’s first private FM radio station which she set up along with a team from the corporate office. Her last role was the head of organizational development where she was part of a global team to work on corporate talent management initiatives. She is skilled in General Management, Strategic Advisory, Talent Management, Business Development, Human Resource Management, and Strategic Partnerships. Over the last ten years, she stepped in to help with the family business 80 Room hotel 2 hours from Mumbai. Here she was instrumental in rejuvenating the property through renovation, marketing initiatives and as an entrepreneur was successful in growing the revenue year on year. Now fellow hoteliers are happy to call on her for advice when needed. She was an executive committee member of the Federal of Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India).

She has an MBA from Yale University, one of the top ten business schools and a second masters from the University of London and a BA from Swarthmore College  one of the US’s top liberal arts colleges in Political Economy.
